PENTAX Medical is pleased to announce that on 27th November 2019, it will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Asahi Optical Joint Stock Co., the original manufacturer of PENTAX branded products.

To mark the occasion, we are proud to introduce the “MILES FOR HEALTH™ 100 Years of PENTAX” campaign. Staff, partners and customers will be encouraged to participate by running or walking (or skipping, or jumping, or other means of self-propulsion!) any distance, from 1 mile to a marathon.

Cancer is the world’s most common disease. As a manufacturer of flexible medical endoscopes, we hope the MILES FOR HEALTH campaign will contribute to raising awareness of the importance of early detection and treatment.

So why not get involved? Record your activity and share your story with us here, and on social media.

100 years of PENTAX

Founded in November 1919, Asahi Optical Joint Stock Co. was the original manufacturer of PENTAX branded products. With a rich history of innovation, initially manufacturing spectacle lenses and later camera lenses, PENTAX first entered the endoscopy market in 1977 with the FB-17A – it’s first Broncho Fiberscope. Now a division of HOYA Group, PENTAX Medical continues to innovate, developing leading-edge optical technologies, working towards the next 100 years and beyond!
