Together with our esteemed partners and staff members we have participated in MFH campaign and contributed towards charity by running 5k around Regents Park.
Run through London
I was told about this today by my daughter who's friend works at World Cancer Research Fund and I thought I'd see if I could add my miles (with my daughter's help)!
I walk a lot every day to stay fit and try and avoid my cancer coming back but I'm not the most tech savvy person so I couldn't find out how to show my total miles but I did pull up my daily average since 1st April of 4.3 miles a day (very pleased with that).
There's been 240 odd days passed since this April (when I think this started?) so I did some quick maths (on my phones calculator) and I've done over 960 miles!
I'm a fan of round numbers so left it at 960 - I really really hope this is ok as my picture is a bit different from what I've seen.
I hope these miles go some way in helping others avoid cancer. Keep up the good work World Cancer Research Fund and Pentax!
Cycle commute and a 5km run with colleagues and new friends
Always looking to try and keep a strong consistent run training regime as I never know when I'll be crazy enough to sign up to my next Ironman so I've clocked a fair few miles since April!
Hopefully I'm not too late as I forgot to do this earlier today!
My first training run for the Marathon season 2020
Early Bird Run - love running before the day starts.
Happy Birthday PENTAX!
On 27th June 2019 we started to go for a walk every Thursday during lunch time.
Together we collected 544,80 miles for the WCRF (we have posted the first 32 miles when we started the challenge in June).
Thanks to everyone who participated!
This is it. The last week of MILES FOR HEALTH! It's been a crazy 7 weeks in this office and I've never pestered my colleagues more for how long their walking commute was in my life!
We reach 790 for our last week (or six days in this case) and we're super happy with the result.
The last walk was taken by WCRF's 'Urban Bear Grylls' Geoff Simmons who took us on another historical trip around Angel in North London.
Thank you to all the team here at WCRF, the team at PENTAX and everyone who has taken part since April.
Also thank you for anyone who has read my blurbs!
Here's hoping we can continue to work together :)
